The Story of David

David’s story is one of the most exciting and inspiring tales in the Bible. He started as a simple shepherd boy but became one of Israel’s greatest kings!

David the Shepherd

David was the youngest of eight brothers and spent his days taking care of sheep. Even though he was small, he was brave and trusted God. One day, the prophet Samuel visited David’s family and, guided by God, chose David to be the future king of Israel.

David and Goliath

One of the most famous stories about David is his battle with Goliath. The Israelites were afraid of the giant warrior Goliath, but David believed that God would help him. With just a sling and a small stone, David defeated Goliath, showing that faith in God is more powerful than any weapon.

David Becomes King

David grew up to be a strong and wise leader. He loved God and wrote many songs and prayers, which are now part of the Book of Psalms. Even though he made mistakes, he always turned back to God and asked for forgiveness.

David’s story teaches kids that no matter how small or young they are, God can use them for great things. His life reminds us to trust in God, be brave, and always seek to do what is right.
